After installing internal ATAPI ZIP (common IDE) to motherboard ABIT KT7A-RAID
ZIP seems to be everything OK, is was possible to read from ZIP any file but when
I tried write to ZIP a larger file, file system collapsed and PC hang up. There was
also impossible to format ZIP media (it collapsed at 10%). The same problem was
in Linux, kernel 2.4.7.
Problem is in old VIA VT82C580 Bus Master IDE drivers. After reinstalling
version 3/2000 to 11/2000 ZIP works.

After system was reinstalled then ZIP did not work. Driver dowloaded from IOmega site
does help but CD-RW does not recognize inserted media and crashes. Problem is
in VATAPI.VXD (VIA IDE VSD Driver). Working combination: 1st install 4in1 drivers
(v4.35 11/2000), 2nd install VIA miniport driver (not VSD!!!).
In WINDOWS/SYSTEM/IOSUBSYS directory must exist Viadsk.mpd (16.11.2000) and
Viaide.vxd (16.11.2000).
