Win XP
Shared USB disk access rights do not survive reboot or disk restart when shared normal way and right providing takes much time when disk contains many files. Easy solution does exist. Create special folder on a fixed NTFS disk (e.g. mount/EXTHD), switch on USB disk and add link to USB drive using Computer management/Disk management/Change-add drive letter and share NTFS directory (i.e. mount/EXTHD).
